Install the Domain Reseller Plugin

How to install and configure the RemarkableCloud domain reseller plugin in WHMCS to offer domain registration alongside your hosting plans.

The domain reseller plugin connects WHMCS to domain registration APIs, letting you offer domain registration and transfers as part of your hosting packages.

Supported registrars

RemarkableCloud’s reseller setup works with the major domain registrar APIs:

RegistrarWHMCS module nameBest for
OpenProviderOpenProviderEuropean TLDs, competitive pricing
ResellerClub / HostingerLogicBoxesWide TLD selection
EnomEnomLarge US reseller network
NamecheapNamecheapSimple setup, affordable

OpenProvider is integrated with RemarkableCloud’s infrastructure. Contact support for your OpenProvider reseller credentials.

Installation

  • Log into your WHMCS admin area.
  • Go to Setup → Products/Services → Domain Registrars.
  • Find your registrar in the list and click Configure.
  • Enter your API credentials (from your registrar reseller account).
  • Click Save Changes.
  • Click Test Connection: you should see available TLDs and pricing.
  • Configure TLD pricing

    1. Setup → Products/Services → Domain Pricing
    2. Add TLDs you want to sell (e.g. .com, .net, .org, .io)
    3. For each TLD set:
      • Registration price
      • Renewal price
      • Transfer price
      • Grace period and redemption fees
    4. Save
Most WHMCS registrar modules have an **Import Pricing** button that pulls current costs from the registrar API. Use this as a starting point and add your margin on top.

    Domain sync settings

Keep WHMCS domain statuses in sync with the registrar:

    1. Setup → Automation Settings → Domain Sync Settings
    2. Enable Domain Sync
    3. Set sync frequency (daily recommended)

This automatically updates expiry dates and statuses if they change at the registrar level.

    Connecting domains to hosting

When a client orders a domain + hosting package, WHMCS can:

    • Register the domain automatically
    • Update the nameservers to your server’s nameservers (ns1.remarkablecloud.com)
    • Create the hosting account

Configure this under the hosting product’s Module Settings → Automatically Set Nameservers on Domain Registration.

    DNS management integration

For clients who want to manage DNS through WHMCS:

    1. Setup → Products/Services → Domain Registrars → your registrar → DNS Management
    2. Enable DNS management
    3. Clients can then edit DNS records from their WHMCS client area without logging into a separate DNS provider
