Backup & Restore in Plesk
How to back up Plesk subscriptions and databases, schedule automated backups, and restore from backup.
Backup types
| Type | What it includes |

Creating a manual backup
Full server backup
- Tools & Settings → Backup Manager → Back Up
- Select Full backup type
- Choose destination (local or FTP/SFTP/S3)
- Click Back Up
Subscription (domain) backup
- Open the subscription → Backup Manager → Back Up
- Select what to include: Domain, Mail, Databases, Files
- Click Back Up

Restoring from backup
Restore a full backup
- Tools & Settings → Backup Manager
- Select the backup file from the list
- Click Restore
- Choose what to restore
- Confirm
Restore a subscription backup
- Open the subscription → Backup Manager
- Select the backup
- Click Restore
- Choose components: files, databases, mail
- Confirm
Restore to a different domain
Plesk allows restoring a backup to a different domain name:
- Backup Manager → Restore
- Check Restore with different domain name
- Enter the new domain name
- Complete the restore
Remote backup destinations
Configure S3
- Tools & Settings → Remote Storage Settings
- Select Amazon S3 or Custom S3
- Enter endpoint, access key, secret key, and bucket name
- Save and test connection
Configure SFTP
- Remote Storage Settings → FTP/SFTP
- Enter server, port, username, password, and path
- Save
