Creating Mailboxes

How to create email accounts in cPanel and RemarkablePanel, set storage quotas, and give your clients access to their email.

This guide covers creating email accounts in cPanel and RemarkablePanel.

In cPanel

  • Log into cPanel and go to Email → Email Accounts → Create.
  • Select the domain.
  • Enter the username (the part before the @).
  • Set a strong password.
  • Set a storage quota in MB or check Unlimited.
  • Click Create.
  • In RemarkablePanel

  • Open the website in RemarkablePanel.
  • Go to Email → Mailboxes → Add Mailbox.
  • Enter the local part (e.g. hello for hello@yourdomain.com).
  • Set a password and storage quota.
  • Click Add Mailbox.
  • Accessing email

    Webmail

    https://webmail.yourdomain.com

Or via cPanel → Email Accounts → Check Email.

    Mail client settings

    SettingValue
    IMAP servermail.yourdomain.com
    IMAP port993 (SSL)
    SMTP servermail.yourdomain.com
SMTP port587 (STARTTLS) or 465 (SSL)
    UsernameFull email address
    PasswordAccount password

    Email aliases and forwarders

Alias: an additional address that delivers to an existing mailbox. No separate login needed.

In cPanel: Email → Email Aliases → Add Alias: set alias@domain.com to deliver to main@domain.com.

Forwarder: redirects mail from one address to another, including addresses at other domains.

In cPanel: Email → Forwarders → Add Forwarder: forward info@domain.com to yourname@gmail.com.

    Managing storage quotas

If a mailbox fills up, new mail is rejected. Monitor usage in cPanel → Email Accounts: the used/total storage is shown for each account.

To increase a quota: click Manage next to the account → update Storage SpaceSave.

Use IMAP, not POP3. IMAP keeps mail on the server and syncs across all devices. POP3 downloads and (by default) deletes mail from the server: if your client crashes, mail is gone.
