Create a Hosting Package in WHM
How to create and manage cPanel hosting packages: setting disk, bandwidth, email, database, and resource limits that apply to hosting accounts.
A hosting package is a reusable template of resource limits. Instead of setting quotas individually for each account, you create a package once and assign it when creating accounts. This guide covers creating, editing, and managing packages.

Assigning a package to an account
When creating an account (WHM → Account Functions → Create a New Account), select the package from the Package dropdown. The account inherits all the package limits.
To move an existing account to a different package:
- Account Functions → Upgrade/Downgrade an Account
- Select the account
- Select the new package
- Click Modify
Viewing accounts per package
- Account Information → List Accounts
- Use the Package filter dropdown to show only accounts on a specific package
This is useful for auditing before changing a package: you can see how many accounts would be affected.
