Configure S3 Backup Destination

Every Cloud Cube includes free S3 storage for backups (2x your NVMe disk size). This guide shows how to connect that storage to JetBackup as a backup destination.

Getting your S3 credentials

1. Log into the client area at manager.remarkablecloud.com
2. Go to Services → My Services → your Cloud Cube
3. Find the S3 Storage section
4. Note your: Endpoint URL, Access Key, Secret Key, and Bucket name

Adding the S3 destination in JetBackup

Log into WHM and go to Plugins → JetBackup 5 → Destinations → Add Destination.

Select S3 Compatible as the type.

Enter a Name: e.g. RC-S3-Primary.

Set the S3 Endpoint: the URL from your client area (e.g. https://s3.remarkablecloud.com).

Enter your Access Key and Secret Key.

Enter your Bucket Name.

Set a Storage Path: a folder within the bucket to keep things organized (e.g. server1/backups).

Leave Region empty or enter us-east-1 if required.

Click Test Connection. You should see a green success message.

Click Save.

If you back up multiple servers to the same S3 bucket, use a different Storage Path for each: server1/backups, server2/backups, etc. This keeps restores clean and makes storage auditing easier.

Using other S3-compatible providers

The same steps work for any S3-compatible storage:

Testing the destination

After adding the destination, run a manual backup to verify it writes correctly:

1. Go to JetBackup → Backup Jobs
2. Find any job that uses this destination
3. Click Run Now
4. Watch Queue & Logs: confirm the job completes without errors
5. Check your S3 bucket to confirm the backup files appear

Storage monitoring

JetBackup shows per-destination storage usage under Destinations → Usage. Monitor this to avoid filling your S3 allocation.

Your free S3 allocation per plan:

• Basic 2GB → 50 GB
• Shared CPU 4GB → 100 GB
• Dedicated CPU 8GB → 200 GB
• Storage Optimized 8GB → 400 GB
