The story
From a local hosting shop in the late '90s to a global managed VPS provider.
RemarkableCloud started where most good hosting companies start: with someone who got tired of servers being treated as an afterthought. In the late 1990s, founder Guillermo Calvo built a small local hosting company that grew over two decades into Datacenter1, one of the primary managed hosting providers in the Spanish-speaking market.
At the end of 2018, Datacenter1's assets were acquired by Miss Group, freeing Guillermo to focus entirely on what he had always found most interesting: cloud infrastructure that is actually managed. RemarkableCloud was built from that clean slate, the distilled version of twenty years of lessons about what managed hosting should feel like.
Today we serve customers in 32 countries from enterprise dedicated infrastructure in US data centers. RemarkableCloud LLC is registered in Florida and 100% privately owned: no investors, no board, no pressure to optimize for growth at the expense of quality.
